Job Description

Tasks

  • Assign projects and programs to determine potential improvement in public health services
  • Coordinate public health activities with environmental and public health colleagues and other professionals
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Review projects or data related to public health policy to determine areas of strengths and opportunities for improvement
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Advise senior management
  • Manage contracts
  • Plan, develop and implement communication strategies
  • Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff
  • Monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
